Von Neumann Architecture and its Influence on Making of Computers

Q25. What is the Von Neumann architecture? Did it influence the making of computers? How?

Ans. The idea of ‘stored program computer’ in which data and instructions are stored in ROM, memory contents are addressable and execution tales place in a sequential fashion was proposed by Von Neumann.

Von Neumann’s Architecture influenced the computer making to a large extent as all the pioneer computers were designed according to this architecture.
